JONATHAN HU

 Managing Partner and Co-founder of LVS Capital, a boutique credit and private equity firm based in Hong Kong, specializing in private credit and real estate financing. He has extensive experience in structuring complex financing solutions that address the unique needs of real estate developers and investors. His expertise spans a variety of financial instruments, including debt placements and equity investments, enabling LVS Capital to adeptly navigate complex market dynamics and optimize returns for its investors.

Prior to LVS Capital, Mr. Hu served as the Chief Executive Officer of Pengyuan International, a prominent Chinese credit rating agency established in 1994 and commissioned by the People’s Bank of China. Under his leadership, Pengyuan developed into a leading provider of credit rating services and research, recognized by both the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission and China regulatory authorities. 

Before his tenure at Pengyuan, Mr. Hu was the Global Head of Business Development at Dagong Global Credit Rating, a Beijing-based agency with offices in Hong Kong, Frankfurt, and Milan. In this capacity, he was instrumental in driving Dagong’s global business development and was the first Chinese Rating agency to provide US dollar-denominated issuance rating.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hu held the position of Head of Asia Pacific at Goalgroup, a specialized litigation advisory firm, where he provided counsel to pension funds and sovereign wealth funds on global class-action litigations from 2013 to 2016. He also served as the Head of Sales and Operations at Fitch Ratings from 2011 to 2013, following various roles at Bloomberg LP from 2007 to 2011.
